Smoking with Awareness

Smoking is used to illustrate 'de-automatization.' It does not encourage anyone to begin smoking; it asks an existing mechanical habit to be slowed down and seen clearly.

Only for people who already smokeCore: Witnessing

Practice style

  1. If you already smoke, slow every movement: taking out the cigarette, lighting it, inhaling, and exhaling.
  2. Feel the smell, movement, and desire without condemnation or hurry.
  3. The point is to see how the habit happens automatically; this is not a suggestion to start smoking.
Do Not Lose the Witness
The method is only an entrance. Whether it uses breath, dance, sound, darkness, sitting, or relationship, what matters most is gradually seeing what is happening rather than only chasing an experience.
