See as a Whole

When looking at an object, do not move from part to part. See it as one whole while temporarily dropping analysis of material, name, and value.

Open-endedCore: Witnessing

Practice style

  1. Choose a simple object.
  2. Take in the whole form at once instead of scanning each part.
  3. See the form before immediately explaining what it is.
Do Not Lose the Witness
The method is only an entrance. Whether it uses breath, dance, sound, darkness, sitting, or relationship, what matters most is gradually seeing what is happening rather than only chasing an experience.
