Active Meditation
Running, Walking, and Swimming
During activity, let body, mind, and heart become one. When the 'runner' disappears and only running remains, movement itself can become meditation.
Practice style
- Choose a familiar activity: running, walking, or swimming.
- Do not repeat it mechanically; keep sensing breath, body, footsteps or strokes, and the surroundings.
- When movement begins to flow naturally, do not seek an experience; remain aware.
Do Not Lose the Witness
The method is only an entrance. Whether it uses breath, dance, sound, darkness, sitting, or relationship, what matters most is gradually seeing what is happening rather than only chasing an experience.
