Five delicious ways to create perfect salads

1Chickpea Spice Salad

  • Cut ½ onion, tomato, cucumber
  • Fry boiled chickpeas (chana) with a little salt and chili
  • Mix together
  • Add ¼ tsp cumin, black pepper, chaat masala, black salt
  • Squeeze 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Add extra salt to taste

2Creamy Vegetable Salad

  • Boil potato, carrot for 5 minutes
  • Put in cold water for 10 minutes
  • Add ½ cup mayonnaise
  • Mix in 4 tbsp cream
  • Add 1 tsp sugar and mix
  • Include boiled corn, apple, pineapple, raisins, walnuts
Mix well for the best results.

3Simple Corn Salad

  • Boil corn
  • Add 1 cucumber
  • Mix in 1 onion
  • Include tomato
  • Season with black pepper, salt, and lemon juice

4Mediterranean Style Salad

  • Cut ½ onion, tomato, cucumber
  • Fry boiled chickpeas (chana) with a little salt, chili, fresh mint or parsley, Kalamata olives
  • Mix together
  • Prepare dressing: lemon juice, 2 tbsp honey, 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, 2 tbsp white wine vinegar, ¼ tsp black pepper and salt – whisk together

5Rainbow Bean Salad

  • Combine red beans, corn, peas, cucumber, green chili, tomato, raisins, salt
  • Make dressing: extra virgin olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, chaat masala, black pepper, honey
  • Garnish with coriander, mint
  • Top with onion
